The search stops here!  Whether you are looking for vocal coaching, private instrumental instruction, or group lessons, Tamraloo Music has something for everyone.  Proudly serving Lincoln and beyond, Tamraloo Music is owned and operated by Tamra Rogers, Elly Award Winning Actress, professional vocalist and accompanist, and music instructor for over 20 years.  In addition to private and group vocal and piano instruction by Miss Tamie, Tamraloo Music offers lessons in piano, drums, guitar, bass, violin, cello, flute, trumpet, tuba, trombone and ukelele by individually trained student teachers.  Mentoring young people and creating job opportunities in the community is extremely important to Tamie, so she has created an internship with each of her student teachers, training them, having them shadow her, and then sitting in with them as they learn the ins and outs of professional music teaching.  Multiple performance opportunities are offered throughout the year, including a Spring Solo Showcase.  We have two Lincoln locations to serve you – Twelve Bridges and Lincoln Professional Center.  We are a vendor for multiple charter schools.

Our Instructors

Owner/Operator/Lead Instructor-Miss Tamie Rogers

Tamra Rogers was born and raised in the Bay Area, then spent 18 years in the beautiful Pacific Northwest before coming back “home” to California. Miss Tamie holds a BA in Music and has taught piano and voice for almost 25 years. An accomplished collaborative pianist, she has accompanied multiple church, community, and university choirs, as well as conducted children’s and adult choruses in both the Pacific Northwest and Northern California. She is an Elly award winning stage actress, most recently seen locally as Mary Poppins (Winner, Lead Actress), and the evil Velma Von Tussle in RCT’s production of Hairspray. Tamie is passionate about community service and has served as president of her local PTA, women’s ministry, and currently serves as music coordinator over the Lincoln/Loomis area LDS congregations. As head of Tamraloo Music, Tamie trains, mentors, and coordinates studio schedules for all her teachers, as well as maintains a current roster of over 80 personal and group students. Her greatest blessings in life are her four incredible children and Superhero husband.

Guitar Instructor Sean Kel’li

Sean Kel’li specializes in acoustic guitar, electric guitar, and ukulele. He loves to work with adults and kids of all ages and stages from beginning to advanced players. He uses finger style and flat pick techniques to play rhythm accompaniment, lead and chord/melody style. Students get a healthy dose of folk, swing, country, blues, jazz, pop, and rockabilly music, and cover the nuts and bolts of practical music theory. Sean offers patient instruction, encouragement, and lots of support for his students whether they pursue a relaxing hobby or desire to become expert players. He welcomes those interested in most any style of guitar or ukulele playing.

Guitar/Bass Instructor Loren Patrick

Born into a family of musicians, Loren was instilled with a passion for music at an early age, and has accrued almost 15 years of experience honing his skills. Loren has toured all over California with multiple bands, meeting many big names and making memories. His teaching philosophy is not only to teach people how to play, but give them the tools to progress on their own as well. He believes that every person deserves to opportunity to build a fulfilling relationship, and whether it be casual or professional, he aims to help you make your dreams come true!

Student Guitar/Ukelele Instructor Nick Soldevila

Nick Soldevila is a student at William Jessup University studying theatre and English Creative Writing. Music has been a definitive part of his life since before he could walk; his dad instilled in him a deep love for piano and all things rock. Since then, he has learned the saxophone, acoustic and electric guitar, ukulele, drums, and is working on bass. He is passionate about challenging himself and others, and is currently working on recording and releasing an EP with other Jessup students! He’s excited to spread his love for music to young people in the community!

Lead Piano Instructor Angela Osman

Angela attends UC Davis and is majoring in biology/neuroscience. Valedictorian of her 2016 class, she has played piano for 13 years and is the accompanist of her school’s concert choir and chamber choir. She also volunteers many hours at homeless shelters and feline shelters. Angela currently teachers a roster of over 20 students and won the Outstanding Accompanist Award in LA, California, in which she was the youngest competitor by over a decade.

Lead Cello/Piano Instructor Marena Bickford

Marena studied at William Jessup University and then graduated from the Master’s Colllege in 2016 with her degree in music. She has played piano and cello for over 12 years. In college, she was part of The Master’s Chorale which toured in the Balkans in May 2015, and she served as the Vice President of the Women’s Chamber Choir. Currently she directs a children’s choir and young adult vocal quartet at her church. She loves teaching piano, cello and choir, instilling a love of music in kids!

Lead Percussion Instructor Jeremy Paz

Jeremy Paz has been heavily influenced by music since his early years of childhood. Growing up with a variety of music constantly playing in the house, he began his journey as a musician on pots and pans and got his first drum set at the age of 9. For most of his drumming life, Jeremy was self-taught and had a knack for Hard Rock/Metal, playing in different metal bands in the Sacramento area and all throughout California. Jeremy’s desire to pursue drumming as a career was solidified during his teen years in high school, where he played orchestral and marching percussion for 4 years. During this time, he truly began developing his own musical drumming style while expanding horizons in different genres of music. He is currently studying Music with an emphasis on Drums/Percussion at William Jessup University in Rocklin, CA and has studied under Serge Lysak and Jonathan Withem at Drum Lab. Jeremy is also drumming for Sacramento songwriter Josh Lane, and he actively plays at his home church, The Life Center, along with drumming at other churches from time to time.

Lead Violin Instructor Leah Lawrence

Leah Lawrence is a senior at William Jessup University, earning her degree in Intercultural studies and acting as Concert Master for the University Orchestra. Leah has been playing the violin for 15 years and teaching for nine. Her experience with the violin began when she was eight years old and flourished into a career as she graduated from youth symphony student to student leader to studio instructor. Leah has developed a teaching philosophy that focuses on the individual students learning styles and goals in an attempt to keep learning an adventure and an achievable challenge. Leah has performed in large orchestras, smaller ensembles and solo, and has experienced both classical and improvisational technique. She has a great appreciation for many styles of music and performance and loves to teach students of all ages.

Violin Instructor Sarah Harrington

Sarah Harrington is a freshman at William Jessup University. She has been playing the violin for 14 years. Sarah is from Oakland where she took lessons through Holy Names University’s Preparatory Music program throughout elementary school. In high school she was concert master of her school orchestra and served in that position in the Youth Orchestra of Southern Alameda County. She is classically trained and enjoys both jazz and chamber music.

Student Violin Instructor Brennan Bailey

Colin Clay is a Junior at Lincoln High School and teaches piano and Alto Sax for Tamraloo Music. He participates in Marching Band and Symphonic Band on Alto Sax, as well as accompanies Jazz Band on the keyboards. Colin also plays keys on his church’s worship team and excels at both contemporary and classical piano. He loves being with friends and having deep philosophical discussions. He currently studies piano with Miss Tamie.

Student Piano Instructor Megan Jonutz

Megan Jonutz is a senior at Lincoln High School. She is the second oldest of four and has lived in the area for over 10 years. Megan loves music and has participated in her school choir all through high school. She has been an active section leader in her choir for the last two years. She teaches piano and has played for 10 years and loves every minute of it! She hopes to spread this love to all those she teaches and shares this talent with. She hopes to continue this sharing of music into her college life and make it her career.

Student Flute Instructor Lara Ocumen

Lara Ocumen, a senior at Lincoln High School, is starting her seventh year of playing flute and piccolo. She became the flute section leader for the LHS Marching Band at the end of her freshman year, and the 2016-2017 school year will be her third year of holding the position. She also holds a secondary position as the Vice President of the LHS Band Council. Lara is also a peer tutor for the high school and is currently ranked first in her class. She spends her free time volunteering with the Sutter Roseville Medical Center Junior Auxiliary.

Student Piano Instructor Colin Clay

Brennan is a homeschooled junior who has been playing violin for twelve years and wants to share her love and passion for the instrument with others. Brennan uses the Suzuki method in her instruction. She has played violin with the Sacramento Youth Symphony, among other ensembles, and loves acting singing, and traveling.

Student Brass Instructor Thor Dunn

Thor Dunn currently serves as the Drum Major for Marysville Charter Academy of the Arts. Proficient in tuba, trumpet, and trombone, he leads multiple bands, runs sectionals, and has proven himself to be an irreplaceable asset to his school.

Student Piano Instructor Catherine Hughes

Catherine Hughes is a Junior at Lincoln High School and teaches piano for Tamraloo Music. She loves art and photography. Catherine accompanies her local congregation on both the piano and organ and has been playing for over 8 years. She is oldest of 4 kids, hopes to travel when she gets older, visiting at least 100 countries!!

Office Administrator Mary Ocumen

Mary Ocumen, a junior at Lincoln High School, has been an active band geek since the sixth grade. As time passed, her obsession with music (as well as banking) has steadily grown. She is currently the Secretary for the LHS Band Council, is a member of the National Honors Society, and was recently hired as a peer tutor.

Lead Guitar/Bass/Piano/Voice Instructor Sarah Bourg

Sarah is a William Jessup University Music graduate who has been playing guitar for 18 years and bass for 11 years. Although she likes playing most styles of music, her first love is Jazz. She often plays around the area with her small jazz combo and with other groups. rah loves helping her students discover a love for music that is unique to them!

Student Piano Instructor Elizabeth Hodgson

Elizabeth is a homeschooled junior who is the oldest of four siblings. She has been playing piano for most of her life and hopes to make it a career someday. She has been in over ten theatrical productions and is on an improvisational comedy team. She enjoys singing and composing her own music.
